Pink Gum Blossom, Limited Edition Lino Print
A limited edition lino print, one of only ten.
This is a reduction print, which requires multiple carves and layers of ink to be printed for the final result to be achieved.
First I designed and carved the image of gum leaves and blossom. I then ran it through the etching press to print the dark green layer. I then re-carved the lino, removing the inner portion of the gum leaves. I then re-inked the lino with the pink layer and ran it through the etching press again. Finally, I added a pale green layer of ink, which I printed to gain the final result.
Each artwork is printed on acid free, Canson Edition, 100% cotton paper, 250 GSM, which complies with the ISO 9706 standard on permanence, a guarantee of optimal conservation.
The print itself is 22cm by 17cm. Each print is signed and editioned and is part of a limited edition print run. Each print is an original, not a reproduction, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The print is packed against backing board (100% post consumer waste recycled fibre, FSC certified and acid free) and wrapped in a 40 micron polypropylene (premium film) sealed bag. However, the print will be removed from bag and posted rolled between pieces of acid free Glassine Paper in a mailing tube for best protection.
